Dream catcher I

520.00

A first in a series of art work by Tamara Bavdek, designer of This Ilk.

This interpretation of a dream catcher meticulously assembles various textures and materials expressing This Ilk's aesthetic at a different scale.

Materials include 3 large wood beads from Bali, smaller wooden beads of similar color, 3 large brass rings, black suede cord, vintage brass chain, 2 sizes of black pompoms, vintage fringe (beige and black), bronze ornate charms, as well as small brass beads and a touch of vintage hand dyed black lace dots that sit upon the inner ring.

The various materials are assembled mainly by weaving in a macramé form. Wire twisting, jump-rings and a touch of glue have also been used in the confection of the piece.

The piece may easily be hung on a wall or flat surface with a nail or screw at it's center. This flat surface is necessary to support the outer rings as the woven chain is flexible. Just place the piece up against the wall and have the inner ring rest on the nail or screw.

Note that this is a unique design and and will not be replicated identically.
