Calla lily II earrings

CA$112.00

Inspired by the flower of the same name that has been widely represented in art though out time. The Calla lily or arum lily originates from Africa and is the national flower of the island Saint Helena, one of the most remote islands in the world.

These statement earrings hold a delicate balance between textile, nacre and metals. They are composed of hand dyed vintage lace that form the flower’s petal, filiform freshwater pearls that shape the flower’s spathe and brass components that create brilliance and structure. They are a "front-back" style earring as the pendant is attached to the backing. This creates a shape that follows the curve of the neck and elongates it.

Due to limited quantity of vintage lace, these earrings are offered in 2 different lace options. See Calla Lily earrings.

Available in our hand mixed dyes of a variety of colours inspired by the natural world. Pearls come in a copper brownish hue or classic white. Sizes and shapes vary due to natural nature of pearls. We select pearls to ensure the earring pair is as similar as possible.

Lace colour options include beige, desert rose (dusty pink, shown on model), white. magenta and black. Other options (not shown) include, peach, coral, terracotta, lavender, light yellow, light blue and bright RED.

  • Come with hypoallergenic gold plated brass and stainless steel large ball ear posts.

  • The earring pendant is attached to a disc that wears behind the ear on the earring post. Butterfly backings hold the disc in place.

  • Measure approximately 11 cm long by 3 cm wide.

  • Each earring weighs approximately 7 grams (the pair weighs 14 grams together).

  • Care tips : Keep out of humidity as much as possible and avoid direct contact with aerosols such as perfume, hairspray or sunscreen. (These are good tips for all of your jewelry.) A flat iron for hair may be used to shape the lace (curl it, open it up or fold it open as you prefer).

  • Handmade with love in our Montreal studio.

  • Limited edition due to the vintage and exotic sourcing of the materials.
