Chrysaora earrings
Chrysaora earrings
“I have been meaning to design a dramatic almost old Hollywood-esque pair of earrings to recapture the original vintage aesthetic that started it all. I’m sure Edie Sedgwick would have worn these…” - Tamara
With an Art Deco, Hollywood Regency or Gatsby’s roaring 20’s inspired aesthetic, this design is named after a magnificent jellyfish commonly named sea nettles. The name is derived from Greek mythology and fittingly means “He who has a golden armament”.
These statement earrings are composed of fresh water rice pearls vintage raw brass seashell pendants, mother of pearl beads, white vintage lace and other raw brass components including small tubes, beads, wire and a brass crescent that creates the overall structure.
Come on hypoallergenic 316L grade stainless steel posts, with butterfly backings.
Measure approximately 11 cm long by 5.75 cm wide.
The pair weighs 28 grams (14 per earring) which is quite light weight and comfortable for this type and size of earring.
Care tips : The dangling rods of brass tubes, pearls and beads may get bent a little as they are strung on thin wires. They can be gently reshaped with fingers. As for most jewelry, it is best to avoid humidity and aerosols such as perfume and hairspray.
Handmade with love in our studio in Montreal.
Limited edition due to the vintage and exotic sourcing of the materials.
