Morning Glory earrings
Inspired by the common vine flowers known as the morning glory, ipomoea or moon flower from the Convolvulaceae family, these statement earrings are almost as light as the flower itself. Its ambiguity between appreciated flower and invasive weed is what drew me to observe it more closely.
Composed of vintage (USA made) floral shaped lace which we hand sew into 3 dimensional bell flowers is then hand dyed, carefully dried and strategically stiffened for structure. Gold plated brass components such as the spiral stem and mother of pearl shell beads complete the flower’s design. Available in our select hand mixed variety of colours inspired by the botanical world. (Select color option in menu for related descriptive image to appear)
Come on hypoallergenic gold plated brass hooks, with rubber backings. Gold-fill, sterling silver and clip-on earring options available here.
Earrings measure approximately 6.5 cm long. Flowers measure approximately 4 cm in diameter (extremity of lace).
Weigh approximately 3.2 grams each, 6.4 grams total for the pair.
Care tips : Use iron on low or flat iron (hair) on petals to expand/reshape flowers. Spot clean white lace with stain removers such as '“Tide-to-go” or “Shout” wipes .
