Taika earrings
Taika earrings
Taika, though initially thought of as a graphic depiction of the sun and its rays, the Taika has been named after the tiger as the resulting semantics were quite claw-like.
The Takia earrings are composed of hand dyed vintage spike shaped lace mounted embossed vintage brass medallions with wooden saucer beads woven throughout. Available in a large variety of colours including beige sand, desert rose (dusty pink), magenta, burgundy, terracotta, mustard (ochre), black, white, navy, light blue, teal, evergreen emerald and moss green.
*NOTE* Due to vintage nature of metals, there may be slight patina (a little marking or coloration) this is part of the unique charm of a vintage material. Though this may not be for the perfectionist, I of course make sure the pieces are beautiful enough to use.
Come on hypoallergenic gold plated brass ear wire hooks, with rubber backings. Gold-fill, sterling silver and clip-on earring options available here.
Earrings measures approximately 7 cm long by 6 cm wide (extremity of lace).
Each earring weighs approximately 5 grams. The pair weighs about 10 grams total.
Handmade with love in our Montreal studio.
Limited edition due to the vintage and exotic sourcing of the materials.
