Coquelicot brooch
Coquelicot brooch
Coquelicot brooch or boutonnière is directly inspired by the poppy we wear throughout Novembre. It is a symbol of Remembrance for those who have fallen at war but also a lesson and reminder of the value of peace. History sometimes has a way of repeating itself so good reminders of what is behind us serve an important purpose.
This large yet quite light weight statement piece is composed of hand dyed vintage lace meticulously hand sewn into a 3 dimensional shape with vintage raw brass components and black fringe. Very limited quantity available. As the dyes are hand mixed, the colors may vary slightly.
Coquelicot is offered as a lapel style brooch/pin which is sturdy and lays flatter on apparel though the flower itself is textured and 3 dimensional.
Comes on gold plated 316 steel pin with cap.
Flower measures approximately 7 cm in width.
Weighs approximately 7 grams.
Handmade with love in our Montreal studio.
Very limited edition due to the vintage and exotic sourcing of the materials.
