These very light statement earrings are composed of hand dyed red vintage lace and raw brass that form the shape of sacred heart or flaming heart. They are inspired by the art direction of Baz Luhrmann’s cult 1996 movie Romeo + Juliette. Based in a post-modern California inspired setting, the movie draws on Mexican aesthetics and catholic symbolism including the milagros. A touch of personal nostalgia from a favorite movie.
