Molokai earrings
Molokai earrings
One and a half million years ago, two large volcanoes pushed through the surface of the Pacific Ocean and created the island of Molokai. Surrounded by one of the longest fringing reef in the U.S., it inspired the name of these earrings.
The Molokai earrings are composed of hand dyed vintage leaf shaped lace mounted on wooden pebbles and vintage brass findings. Available in a large variety of colours including beige sand, desert rose (dusty pink), magenta, burgundy, terracotta, mustard (ochre), black, white, navy, light blue, teal, evergreen emerald and moss green.
*NOTE* Due to vintage nature of metals, there may be slight patina (a little marking of coloration) this is part of the unique charm of a vintage material. Though this may not be for the perfectionist, I of course make sure the pieces are beautiful enough to use.
Come on hypoallergenic gold plated 316L grade stainless steel posts, with butterfly backings. Gold-fill, sterling silver and clip-on earring options available here.
Earrings measures approximately 9 cm long by 4 cm wide (extremity of lace).
Each earring weighs approximately 5 grams. The pair weighs about 10 grams total.
Handmade with love in our Montreal studio.
Limited edition due to the vintage and exotic sourcing of the materials.
